Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only appear as the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five gives a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a score of eight or nine, each gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. be cautious of wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are somewhat better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

When played smartly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of past outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the one-three-two-six scheme. This tactic is employed to amplify profits and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
