Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are valued at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 will have a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card may be dealt depending on the following regulations:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are significantlly better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
When done correctly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of last results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-three-two-six scheme. This technique is employed to build up profits and controlling risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
