Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 and five produces a score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie by and large pay 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This method is deployed to boost wins and limiting risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
