Baccarat Chemin de Fer Regulations and Strategy

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Principles

Punto banco is gambled on with eight decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, however the beginning digit is dumped. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a total of 1 (5 plus six equals 11; ignore the 1st ‘1′).

A third card will be given out using the following rules:

- If the player or banker gets a score of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stands, the bank takes a card on 5 or less. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to see if the banker stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The bigger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19 to 20 (equal money less a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out when you depart the table so make sure you have money left over just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie typically pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one versus eight to one)

Played correctly punto banco gives fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Course of Action

As with all games punto banco has some familiar false impressions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future actions. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most successful method is the one, three, two, six technique. This method is deployed to build up winnings and limit losses.

Start by placing one dollar. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a total of three dollars on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the table, remove four so you keep two on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the third round, add two to the four on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the 1st round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a take of two. And wins on the 1st 3 with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to give up the second bet 5 instances for each successful run of four wagers and still are even.
