Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under ten are of their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply depict the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 has a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be played depending on the foll. practices:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, both players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pays eight to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are remarkably better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

When played accurately, baccarat provides generally decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Monitoring of previous conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-six method. This scheme is employed to maximize payouts and limiting risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
