Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they just represent the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five will have a score of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the foll. standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or 9, each players stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done smartly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of prior outcomes on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six concept. This method is used to increase successes and cutting back risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
