Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are said to be worth their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly represent the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five has a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be dealt depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Still, odds are noticeably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future results. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-two-6 method. This plan is employed to maximize earnings and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
