Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are of their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven and five produces a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the following practices:

- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Nonetheless odds are considerably better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat offers generally good odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of prior results on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 concept. This technique is deployed to magnify payout and limiting risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
