Punto Banco Policies and Strategy

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Policies

Baccarat is bet on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (five plus 6 = eleven; ignore the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a score of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player stays, the bank hits on five or less. If the gambler hits, a table is used to determine if the banker stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even payout less a five percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you depart the table so make sure you have funds around before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays 8:1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Wagered on correctly baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games punto banco has a few accepted misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future events. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a sheet of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and possibly the most accomplished scheme is the one-three-two-six technique. This plan is used to build up profits and minimizing risk.

Begin by placing one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. If you succeed you will retain six on the game table, pull off four so you are left with two on the third round. If you come away with a win on the third round, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first round, you take a loss of one. A win on the first wager followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Success on the first 2 with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the initial three with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you can squander the second round 5 instances for every favorable streak of four bets and still break even.
