Baccarat Rules and Method

Baccarat Principles

Punto banco is played with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (5 plus six = eleven; dump the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be dealt based on the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a value of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler stays, the bank hits on a value less than 5. If the player hits, a table is employed to figure out if the house stays or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (even payout less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you depart the game so ensure you still have funds around before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at 8:1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten rounds. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Played properly baccarat banque provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few general false impressions. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most familiar and probably the most acknowledged plan is the one, three, two, six technique. This method is used to pump up profits and minimizing risk.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the game table, remove 4 so you keep 2 on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 on the 4 on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a hit on the third gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 rounds gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you are able to give up the second wager five instances for every successful run of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
