Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are said to be at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely act as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five gives a total of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays 8 to 1 and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are generously better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of last conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 concept. This process is used to amplify earnings and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
