Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are worth face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely depict the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be played depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a total score of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at eight to one and occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from placing bets on a tie. However odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six technique. This tactic is used to maximize earnings and reducing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
