Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only represent the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a total score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. be wary of placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are appreciably better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

Played smartly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of historic outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-2-six method. This plan is employed to maximize payout and reducing risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
