Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are worth their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only portray the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … five has a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. However odds are certainly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When done accurately, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six concept. This tactic is used to maximize wins and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
