Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than ten are counted at their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they just represent the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 gives a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie normally pay out 8 to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are significantlly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future results. Monitoring of past outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six method. This scheme is employed to pump up winnings and lowering risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
