Punto Banco Rules

Baccarat is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the cards, but the beginning digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of 1 (5 plus six = eleven; ignore the 1st ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on a value less than 5. If the gambler takes a card, a table is employed to see if the house stands or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The bigger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal cash less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off once you depart the table so make sure you have cash around before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pay one to one. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than one in every ten rounds. Avoid gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Bet on correctly baccarat provides generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has a few familiar misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping score of past outcomes on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.

The most established and almost certainly the most favorable course of action is the one, three, two, six plan. This tactic is used to pump up profits and limit risk.

Start by wagering 1 dollar. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you keep two on the 3rd wager. Should you succeed on the 3rd round, add 2 to the four on the game table for a grand total of six on the fourth round.

Should you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the first three with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you can squander the second wager five times for each successful run of four wagers and still experience no loss.
