Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum of the cards, however the first digit is discarded. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (five plus 6 equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).
