Punto Banco Regulations and Strategy

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Principles

Baccarat is enjoyed with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st number is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (5 plus 6 = 11; drop the first ‘1′).

A third card may be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or nine, both players stay.

- If the player has five or lower, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player stays, the banker takes a card on a total lower than five. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is employed to figure out if the bank holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The better of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a five percent rake. Commission are recorded and paid off when you quit the game so be sure to still have cash left before you head out). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie typically pays eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 rounds. Avoid betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)

Bet on properly baccarat provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Scheme

As with all games Baccarat has a few familiar misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.

The most established and definitely the most acknowledged strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This tactic is employed to pump up earnings and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you keep two on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, add 2 on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st round followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Success on the initial two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th means you are even. Winning all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you can lose the second bet five instances for every successful streak of 4 bets and in the end, balance the books.
