Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards below a value of 10 are counted at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 has a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at 8 to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are vastly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat presents generally good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Staying abreast of past outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-six concept. This process is used to boost winnings and cutting back risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
